In the gate seat with double hard insert, different types of thermoplastic materials are used, which are selected according to the type of application to which the valve is subjected, evaluating the pressure, operating temperature and the fluid flow type as a whole.
Types of thermoplastics used are:
- P.T.F.E.filled CG – PTFE DYNEON TFM – PTFE CABFLUOR M25)
- DEVLON V API – NYLON 6MOS2 – NYLON PA12G / Lauramid – ERTALON 6XAU – SINVEX SMX – Ecc.
- PEEK virgin – PEEK filled PTFE – PEEK filled PTFE+CG – PEEK filled CARBON 30%
The final geometry of the insert profile is normally flat and slightly protruding from the seat sealing plane.
