The gate of a through-conduit slab gate valve with a metallic seal or soft seal can be a project with different types of steels, taking into account the purposes of its use, flow fluids, pressure classes, and operating temperatures.

The use of carbon steels for the construction of the gate involves a final nickel plating with thickness ranging from 25 microns to 80 microns. In this case, the gate will be suitable for a soft seal. Obviously, stainless steels can be used.

The gates produced for the metal seal are subjected to Tungsten Carbide, Chromium carbide, Stellite coatings with variable thickness of 150 to 400 microns.
